A CURATORS GUIDE TO BRITAIN’S HOMES OF ART

As co-founder and curator of London's Monument gallery, Leah Forsyth-Steel has long been drawn to places where art is experienced beyond the white cube. Rather than pristine gallery spaces, she's interested in artists' homes, former studios and galleries where the setting itself becomes part of the work - where the furniture, books, architecture and gardens reveal as much about an artist's life as the paintings or sculptures they left behind.

From the home of Vanessa Bell in Sussex to Derek Jarman's Prospect Cottage and Barbara Hepworth's studio in St Ives, Leah shares the places across Britain that continue to shape the way she thinks about art.
