VINTAGE SOURCING IN SOUTHERN EUROPE

For Anouck, vintage has never really been a trend. She grew up going to flea markets and antique fairs with her parents, started dressing in vintage as a teenager and has been collecting objects for as long as she can remember.

That instinct eventually became Superchinerie, her vintage project, and can be seen throughout Maison Légère, her home in the Perche. Almost everything in the house has been found over time, from furniture and tableware to curtains made from old sheets and even the light switches.

Sourcing has also shaped the way Anouck travels. Wherever she goes, she looks for flea markets, antique dealers and vintage shops, often returning home with something that will find its way into her wardrobe or Maison Légère. Cups from Mallorca, vintage trench coats from Japan, furniture squeezed into the back of the car. The things she finds become reminders of places long after the trip itself is over.

For Are Still Here, Anouck shares some of the places she returns to and has discovered along the way, from the markets of Paris and her native Lille to finds further afield in Italy and Mallorca.
